Arranging Items

Click and drag items to move them around the page. When you click once on an item, three icons will appear in the corners of the item.

Lock Icon - Located in the upper left-hand corner of each item, this icon allows you to change the layering behavior of an item. Layering of items is determined by the order in which you added the items to the page. For example, if you add a flower embellishment and then a picture to your page, if you overlap them, the picture will be on top of the flower. If you want to change the layering of items on the page, you can click the lock icon to "unlock" the item. Doing so will mean that the item will "pop to the top" when you click on it. So, if you "unlock" the flower and click once on it, it will "pop to the top" and be the top layer on the page, and will therefore be on top of the picture if you overlap them. If you want to stop an item from "popping to the top," click the lock icon again to "lock" the layer of the item.

Delete Icon - Located in the upper right-hand corner, use this icon to delete an item from the page.

Re-Size Icon - Located in the lower right-hand corner, click and drag this icon to re-size the item. By default, the aspect ratio of the item is locked so that images retain their proper dimensions when being re-sized. You can unlock the aspect ratio by double clicking on the re-size icon. This will allow you to freely re-size the item, stretching it whichever way you choose by clicking and dragging the re-size icon. To re-lock the aspect ratio, double click on the re-size icon again.

Item Editor

Double click an item (image, embellishment, journal item, title letter, etc.) on your page to bring up the Item Editor. Editing options (borders, rotating, effects, etc.) appear along the top of the Item Editor. Make your selections for each option ( e.g. border width and color, rotation angle, etc.) in the area below the option icons. Use the buttons along the bottom of the Item Editor to apply and save changes, undo, etc.

  • Cancel - Cancels any changes you have made, closes the Item Editor and returns you to the Page Edit screen.
  • Start Over - Undoes ALL changes you have made to an item and resets the item to its original form (the way it was when you uploaded it to your account).
  • Undo - Undoes the last change that you made.
  • Apply - Applies the change you have made or selected.
  • Save - Saves your changes, closes the Item Editor, and returns you to the Page Edit screen.

Once you have selected the color, click "PICK" to choose the color and return to the Item Editor. Next click "Apply." You can repeat the process to add another border, "Undo" if you don't like the border you made, or click "Save" to save your changes and return to the Page Edit.

Remember, positive numbers rotate clockwise, and negative numbers rotate counter-clockwise. If you are rotating and adding borders to an item, rotate last if you want the border to surround the item uniformly. Rotate, add a border, and repeat to get a fan effect with the borders. You can repeat the process to rotate more or less, "Undo" if you don't like the change you just made, or click "Save" to save your changes and return to the Page Edit.

Crop - Draw the crop section on the image, then click "Apply." To save your changes and return to the Page Edit, click "Save." To discard your changes and return to the Page Edit, click "Cancel."
